Citric Acid

Citric Acid is naturally found in all sorts of citrus fruits. It acts as suitable intermediating factor. This acid can also be produced synthetically. It contains calcium, heavy metal, sulfated ash, iron, sulfate, barium, chloride and oxalate in precise amount. Classified under carboxylic group of acid, this chemical has key role in oxidation of protein, fat and carbohydrates. Free from odor, this white powder based chemical is utilized for the formulation of processed food products like jelly, beverages and different types of flavoring agents. Anhydrous form of Citric Acid easily dissolves in water and it is highly soluble in ethanol.
